About MOPS
MOPS International
MOPS stands for Mothers of Preschoolers, a program designed to nurture mothers with children from infancy through kindergarten. MOPS groups meet in churches throughout the United States, Canada, and 19 other countries. The women are of many ages and backgrounds, but share the same desire - to be the best mothers they can be.
Simply put, MOPS is about…
- Celebrating motherhood
- Meeting needs
- Making connections
- Experiencing God’s love — through relationship and resources.

MOPS at Richland Baptist Church (RBC)
The RBC MOPS group will meet together once a month, from 9 to 11:15AM on the second Monday of the month. A complementary childcare program, called MOPPETS, is available at the same time, providing both mother and child with an enjoyable morning full of fun activities and new opportunities for friendship.
A MOPS Meeting
The typical MOPS meeting consists of lively conversation over a delicious brunch, followed by an inspiring message intended to provide practical help on a wide range of topics pertaining to motherhood (e.g. Interior Decorating, Child Safety Issues, Environmental Awareness, etc.) Eventually, the meeting will wrap up with a creative craft project and group discussions about anything and everything!
Theme for 2008
![]()
The theme title this year is “Adventures in Mothering.” This theme equips moms to learn more about themselves as they go through the adventure of motherhood. They will celebrate and embrace the fun in the experiences, even in the midst of daily mom life that stretches them emotionally and spiritually.
